These are meaningful public references to God and Christianity. Still, Christians should not rush to make a final declaration about another person’s salvation. A person can use religious language, value a church background, or thank God in a difficult season. Saving faith is more than religious words. It is turning from sin and trusting Jesus Christ alone.
That truth should make us humble. We do not know every detail of Jamie Foxx’s beliefs, and we do not know the full story of anyone’s heart. But we do know what the gospel says: Jesus died for sinners, rose again, and calls all people to come to Him.
