What the Bible says about being a Christian
A Christian is not simply a person who mentions God, grew up in church, or tries to be kind. The word Christian means a follower of Jesus Christ. The Bible says salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus—not a reward for fame, talent, charity, or religious habits (Ephesians 2:8–9).
That standard applies to Morgan Wallen, and it applies to us. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God’s commands show us the truth about ourselves. Then begin reading the Bible—John’s Gospel is a good place to start—and find a faithful local church that teaches God’s Word.
A better question for the reader
It is natural to wonder about Morgan Wallen’s religion. But knowing a celebrity’s beliefs cannot make us right with God. The more important question is personal: Am I trusting in Jesus Christ?
We can speak about public figures with truth and kindness. We can pray for them and their families. We should not gossip, diagnose them, or pretend to see their hearts. God knows them fully, and He knows us too.
